User talk:Nabarry/Improvement of Activism Wikia
From Activism
[edit] Important Elements (which need to be worked into this plan)
- Encyclopedic/professional/impersonal
- Non-biased; some pages advocate positions. Specific position pages?
- Contributions from members of the movements: discussion of tactics, articulation of arguments for the movement (and against, as well)...What else?
- ???
[edit] To Do on this page:
- Add an organization template, like on the JW page.
- Regarding the Argument page and the presence of critiques: Create a page or heading in my profile that defends having some balance, and discusses the difference between position and bias; also discuss POV/NPOV, and advocacy.
- Overall principles: "I" statements are for talk pages. Main pages reflect consensus, and non-personal opinions. Describe an important difference between Activism and WP: On both, "I" statements belong on talk pages (or personal narratives). But on WP, arguments on the talk page are just about the accuracy or formatting of the articles, while on Activism arguments can also be POV, and can focus on how things should be. And these arguments can come onto the main page as long as they reflect some consensus.
